Post 31 Founding
The Ukrainian community in Boston goes back to the 1890s. The first members of the Ukrainian American community to serve in the United States Armed Forces served during World War I. Members of our community have served in every war since then.
In 1990 Walter Michajliw learned about the Ukrainian American Veterans and thought that Boston should have a post. With help, he organized Post 31 in 1991.
We are an important organization within the Boston Ukrainian community, and we attend many ceremonies and religious services.
Post 31 celebrated its 25-year anniversary in 2016. Mnohaya lita!
